FIELD: diagnosis of properties of polymer composite materials by nondestructive testing.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in excitation of ultrasonic oscillations by means of laser optical acoustic transducer, receiving the sounding, bottom and scattered pulses, as well as shear wave pulse, measurement of ratio of amplitudes of sounding and bottom pulses, determination of time of passage of pulse in material in forward and reverse directions, measurement of spectrum of pulses scattered by structure of material in reverse direction and spectrum of sounding pulse. Degree of polymerization β of composite materials is determined by correlation relationship β=ϕ(b,w), where b is combined diameter including ratio of amplitudes of sounding and bottom pulses and time of passage of bottom pulse in material in forward and reverse directions and W is standard magnitude of structural noise which is measured at section of track between sounding pulse and pulse of acoustic shear wave.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability of determination of polymerization.
