FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed electromagnetic contactor is meant for use with star-to-delta switch for start of three-phase electric motor in order to ensure its operation at full speed in the course of short time. Time relay located in case is made as one unit with case. Electromagnetic contactor is designed for switching on and off of basic power supply source thanks to electronic switching operations carried out by electromagnet of main network and vertically movable element of main network. Electromagnetic contactor is produced for selective delta or star connection in compliance with switching-over operation of electromagnet of start-to-delta connection and vertically mobile element.

EFFECT: simplified wiring needed for proper connections, improved assembly and efficiency, avoidance of wrong connections and enhanced functional stability of electromagnetic contactor.
