FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to adjustment of cavity resonators and can find use in SHF measurement equipment, radio measuring equipment, retuned SHF generators. Technical result of invention consists in expanded range of adjustment with preservation of high level of Q-factor, without filtration of high types of oscillation in cylindrical cavity resonator. Process lies in insertion of well conducting nonuniformity into cavity of cylindrical cavity resonator, dimensions of cavity of cylindrical cavity resonator changes by alteration of length thanks to movement of short-circuited piston. Dielectric with little losses attached to bottom of short-circuited piston is positioned in cavity horizontally.
EFFECT: expanded adjustment range with preservation of high level of Q-factor.
