FIELD: computer engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device designed for use in data display systems has code disk and four-segment display controlled by disk code combinations, conductor laminations and insulating laminations being disposed on code disk so that Hamming code distance between adjacent code combinations equals 2 in transition from any quantization level to adjacent one, and augment of decimal or duodecimal number by one causes either augment of number of lit-up segments on display or turn of symbolic image from lit-up segments of display clockwise through 90 deg. Disposition of conducting laminations and insulating laminations on code disk provides for equality 2 of Hamming code distance between any code combination and zero code combination for decimal code or fifth code combination for duodecimal code. Device ensures reflection-closed method for displaying decimal numbers.
EFFECT: unlimited device-shaft motion, enhanced noise immunity of code, reduced size of device, and easy handling for operator.
