FIELD: medicine, surgery.
SUBSTANCE: the present method deals with treating inguinal hernias. Prosthesis should be applied made of two plates connected centrally with an opening in one of them for spermatic funiculus or round ligament and a groove to direct them into this opening. Cross-sectional fascia should be dissected from internal opening up to external edge of rectus muscle of abdomen, lower edge of one plate should be fixed to lacunar ligament, median edge of internal plate should be fixed to the sheath of rectus muscle of abdomen to cross-sectional muscle and internal oblique muscle transmuscularly, spermatic funiculus (round ligament) should be placed into the opening of external plate, the latter is fixed by its inferior edge to inguinal ligament, median edge - to aponeurotic sheath of rectus muscle, superior edge - to the tendon of internal oblique muscle and to internal oblique muscle to form external border of internal inguinal ring, aponeurosis of external oblique muscle should be sutured to prevent hernial relapse.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of plasty.
