INGUINAL CANAL PLASTY TECHNIQUE Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: technique includes Liechtenstein's plasty with using a prolene mesh. The mesh is modeled by size of a posterior wall of inguinal canal and sutured so that it completely closes the posterior wall of inguinal canal and overlaid on abdominal internal oblique muscle and transverse muscles of abdomen. The medial end of the prolene mesh is sutured to inguinal ligament within an attachment to pubic spine, while the second end of the prolene mesh delivered into a cut-out aperture of spermatic cord is sutured to Poupart's ligament from the lateral side of inguinal ligament from its attachment to pubic spine at 0.5 cm. The medial and lateral ends of the prolene mesh below the aperture for spermatic cord are overlapped; therein two ends of the prolene mesh are sutured together, and the same third suture, between the first and second, are fixed to inguinal ligament. Then the medial end of the prolene mash is implanted between aponeurosis of abdominal external oblique muscle and abdominal internal oblique muscle, with sutures being fixed over aponeurosis of abdominal external oblique muscle. The lateral end of the mesh is fixed to inguinal ligament, with aponeurosis of abdominal external oblique muscle and abdominal internal oblique muscle included in the sutures.

EFFECT: more reliable plasty of the posterior wall of inguinal canal, reduced pyoinflammatory complications and recurrent hernias.
