SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to herniology. Aponeurosis of external oblique abdominal muscle is cut from external inguinal ring towards the lateral side with its displacement to inguinal ligament in the area of internal inguinal ring. Lateral flap of aponeurosis of external oblique abdominal muscle under spermatic cord is fixed to lower edges of internal oblique and transversal muscles. Spermatic cord is moved upwards. Medial flap of external oblique muscle aponeurosis above cord is fixed to anterior surface of lateral flap of external oblique muscle aponeurosis without tightening. In case of considerable destruction of posterior wall of inguinal canal and weakness of external flap of external oblique muscle aponeurosis between transversal fascia and lateral flap of external oblique muscle aponeurosis placed is prosthesis, cut for placement of cord. From above edge of prosthesis is fixed to transversal and internal oblique abdominal muscle, from below prosthesis is sewn to lower edge of external oblique muscle aponeurosis. From pubic tubercle upwards sheath of rectus is opened on lateral edge. Medial edge of prosthesis is submerged and fixed under its anterior leaf, formed branches of prosthesis, after coverage with them of spermatic cord, are sutured to each other and fixed to both flaps of external oblique muscle aponeurosis.

EFFECT: method prevents hernia recurrence.
