FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: proposed hopper car has frame 3 resting on running bogies, body 1 installed on frame and provided, in lower part, with hoppers with external discharge hatches, discharge hatch covers 4 secured on hoppers, and special devices for opening and closing discharge hatch covers mounted on frame. Each device has drive connected by lever with shaft arranged along car, and additional levers connected to shaft by some ends. Other ends of additional levers are connected with corresponding cover of discharge hatch by means of tie-rods hinge-secured on cover. Each cover of discharge hatch is secured on corresponding hopper by means of axles installed on front and rear walls of hopper and located along car. Cross axis of symmetry of cover does not reach vertical by acute angle equal to 2°-60°. EFFECT: improved reliability, facilitated mounting and servicing. 4 dwg
