FIELD: optics, equipment for optical processing of information and communication.
SUBSTANCE: magnetooptical device to excite optical coils comprises source of laser radiation, films of magnetooptical material with periodic domain structure , source of alternating magnetic field perpendicular to plane of film of magnetooptical material and source of gradient magnetic field in plane of film of magnetooptical material. Source of magnetic field perpendicular to plane of film of magnetooptical material comes in the form of clear current-conducting structures. One conductor passes through center, another over edge of aperture of light beam perpendicular to gradient of magnetic field in plane of film of magnetooptical material.
EFFECT: potential for control over positions of optical coils in radiation passed through diffraction and change of amount of information sent by light beam, which enhances functional capabilities of holograms of optical coil.
