FIELD: magnetic measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: magneto-optical device for measuring magnetic field strength has light source, magneto-optic material film and photoreceiver. All the units are disposed along path of light beam. Laser is used as light source. Magneto-optical material has periodical domain structure with disclination. Disclination of domain structure is disposed in center of illuminated part of magneto-optic material. Photoreceiver has light-sensitive area being equal in size to area of optical vortex having minimal light intensity. The photoreceiver is located in center of optical vortex. Magneto-optic film has gradient of thickness.
EFFECT: improved precision of measurement; higher sensitivity.
