FIELD: electronics, design of cathode units based on metal emitter.
SUBSTANCE: technical result of invention lies in enhanced stability of form of cathode at working temperatures with increase of its adaptability to manufacture which is achieved as cathode of metal alloy contains foil produced from emission material deposited on substrate linked to core of cathode. In agreement with invention substrate comes in the form of form-stable bushing, core has at least one protrusion. Bushing is made fast to one protrusion and is made of material displaying thermal expansion coefficient close to coefficient of thermal expansion of material of emitter foil and shows thickness 5-20 times greater than thickness of foil.
EFFECT: enhanced stability of form of cathode.
