SUBSTANCE: proposed double-layer fractional-slot winding designed for use in multiphase squirrel-cage induction motors supplied with power from semiconductor frequency changer is 2p-pole, m-phase, m' = 2m-belt loop winding with fractional number of slots per pole per phase q = b + 0.5 placed in z = 2pmq slots and assembled of alternating (b + 1) and b concentric-coil groups. With m = 6, m' = 12, q = 1.5, and b = 1 coil slot pitch yni = 8.6 and turn numbers (1x)wk, wk for double-coil groups, yni = 7 and (1 + x)wk turns for single-coil groups, where 2wk is turn number per slot; z = 18p at p = 1, 2, 3…, and x = 0.47. Equalizing emf and resistances of small and large coil groups of proposed winding has enabled its use as six-phase winding.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
