FIELD: welding equipment, namely apparatuses for gas shield automatic welding of sheet constructions of active metals.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus is in the form of protection flap mounted behind welding torch. Protection flap engages with torch by means of clamps and it is in the form of chamber having two cases. Base of inner case protrudes from base of outer case. Heat-removal pressing plates are provided with horizontal steps for mounting onto them base of inner case. Said plates together with lateral surfaces of flap cases and gaps between them form labyrinth gas sealing. Gaps between cases provide gas curtain. Such apparatus prevents suction of atmospheric air to zone of welding bath and cooled seam.
EFFECT: improved quality of protecting welded seam of active metals in usual production rooms at any season in spite of different oscillations of air flows of environment.
