FIELD: waste water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: emulsified oils stabilized by anionic emulsifiers are removed from waste waters by treating the latter with ferric salts/ferrous sulfate 1:(0.67-3.0) mixture at weight ratio of iron ions to oil from 0.006:1 to 0.02:1 followed by phase separation. Iron salt mixture is preliminarily magnetized to 25 A/m.
EFFECT: enhanced waste water treatment efficiency over a wide emulsion concentration range.
