FIELD: mechanical engineering; manufacture of bearings for automobiles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed ball bearing includes outer race 1 with two raceways, inner race consisting of two rings 2 and 3 with one raceway in each and two rows of balls 4 located in cages; balls are 4 are engageable with raceways; inner and outer sectionalized races have permissible deviation from nominal sizes of diameter in outer and inner raceways and distances in outer and between raceways which are measured in sections corresponding to nominal contact angle in bearing; balls have deviation from nominal diameter or races have excessive deviations of said sizes of raceways under conditions of shift of point of contact in outer and in inner and coincidence of signs of and . Method of measurement of deviation of contact angle from nominal consists in measurement of deviations exceeding sizes of raceways, determination of parameters of shift of and and estimation of deviation of contact angle which includes calculation of nominal radial clearance , half-difference of contact angles at axial and radial loading of ball bearing, measurement of axial clearance S, radial clearance P, contact angle at axial loading and comparison of results with nominal magnitudes.
EFFECT: enhanced durability due to reduction of deviation of contact angle from nominal magnitude.
