FIELD: machining of working surfaces of double-row angular ball bearings by preliminary choice of parameters subject to measurement and mathematical processing of measurement results. SUBSTANCE: raceway radius is checked, then diameter of raceway in unspecified axial section of race and sum of distances from axis of race to generatrix of raceway measured along straight lines making contact angles α in bearing together with perpendiculars to axis of raceway are measured. Further on deviations of diameter Dd and sum of distances from rated values (ΔP) are found, deviations of stated sum and product of deviation of diameter by cosine of contact angle f=ΔP-Δd•cosα are calculated. This difference f is equal to displacement of line of contact of race under influence of deviation of radius and axial position of raceway in direction forming contact angle with perpendicular to axis of race.
