FIELD: rocketry and space engineering; tank compartments of upper stages of launch vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: proposed rocket pod includes engine plant, instrument compartment and propellant tanks with common separating bottom. Tanks are connected with payload on one side and with launch vehicle on other side. Common separating bottom is made in form of taper shell distributing load between payload and launch vehicle. Said shell has upper and lower outer frames on ends of bottom. Propellant tanks are connected with payload by means of coupling unit on upper internal frame of common separating bottom through adapter system. These tanks are connected with launch vehicle through coupling unit of lower external frame.
EFFECT: reduced mass of rocket pod; enhanced tightness of arrangement due to specific load transfer system.
