METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF XENON DIFLUORIDE, ITS RECTIFICATION AND APPLICATION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2232711 C1

FIELD: production of xenon difluoride.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with production of xenon difluoride, a method of its rectification and application. Xenon difluoride is produced from xenon and fluorine in a glow discharge of alternating-current. The temperature of reaction is within the range of -80°С - 0°С, pressure of 10-40 mmHg. Intensity of current 30-50 mA. The product is stabilized on walls of a vessel at the temperature of -70°С - - 80°С. The ration of a diameter of a vessel to an interelectrode space is 1: 2, voltage between the electrodes is equal to 2.5 kW. Rectification of xenon difluoride from impurities is exercised by its contact with steam or with fluorine hydride or with ice water. Then the target product distillation and the separation from hydrofluoric acid are conducted. Xenon difluoride is used as a basis of means for disinfection, sterilization and detoxication in the field of sanitation and medical industrial hygiene, in the capacity of means for disinfection, sterilization and detoxication, antiseptics - for food additives, cosmetics and also medical means of a broad spectrum of action - pharmaceutical compositions as well as means for waste utilization. Means for disinfection and sterilization are characterized by different combinations of xenon difluoride with additions of xenon trioxide and hydrogen peroxide. The pharmaceutical compositions contain xenon difluoride in the form of a water solution and in a gas phase also can be injected into an organism perorally, intravenously, intramuscularly, by sprinkling, inhalation or as an application on staggered areas. At use all the means will not form toxic gases and toxiferous decomposition products at an annihilation of poisonous and toxic substances, as well as at utilization and detoxication of toxiferous blowouts. The invention allows to produce simple composition means for disinfection and sterilization, and also highly-productive methods of xenon difluoride production.

EFFECT: the invention allows to produce simple composition means for disinfection and sterilization and offers the highly-productive methods of xenon difluoride production.
