FIELD: inorganic synthesis.

SUBSTANCE: xenon trioxide is prepared via hydrolysis of xenon hexafluoride-boron trifluoride adduct or xenon tetrafluoride, or xenon hexafluoride by 10-50% hydrofluoric acid solution. Then, product is alkalized with calcium or magnesium hydroxide to neutral to neutral medium. Sodium perxenoate is obtained by oxidizing xenon trioxide with sodium peroxide/sodium hydroxide aqueous solution while simultaneously purging trap with helium. Xenon trioxide and sodium perxenoate as well as various combinations based thereon are used as agents of disinfection, sterilization, and detoxification, as antiseptics, food additives, broad-spectrum drugs in pharmaceutical compositions, and agents assisting in reuse of wastes. Particular disinfection and sterilization agents are proposed characterized by different combinations of ingredients. Pharmaceutical compositions contain xenon trioxide and/or sodium perxenoate in the form of aqueous solution and are administered, either in physiological solution or in vapor-gas phase, orally, intravenously, intramuscularly, by irrigation, inhalation, or application on damaged sites. When in use, all agents do not emit toxic gases and do not form toxic degradation products when disposed or assist in reuse and detoxification of toxic emissions.

EFFECT: extended assortment of useful various-purpose inorganic agents, especially in disinfection, sterilization, and detoxification fields.
