FIELD: petrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: raw material containing saturated hydrocarbons, internal olefins, and α-olefins is brought into contact with a linear polyaromatic compound to give reaction mixture composed of first "linear polyaromatic compound-olefin" adducts and saturated hydrocarbons. First olefin adducts are separated from saturated hydrocarbons in reaction mixture to give first olefin adduct stream and first saturated hydrocarbon stream. At least part of the first saturated hydrocarbon stream is brought into contact with linear polyaromatic compound to give reaction mixture composed of second "linear polyaromatic compound-olefin" adduct and saturated hydrocarbons. Second linear adduct is separated from reaction mixture to give second olefin adduct stream and second saturated hydrocarbon stream. Concentration of saturated hydrocarbons in the second saturated hydrocarbon stream is higher than the same concentration in the first saturated hydrocarbon stream while concentration of saturated hydrocarbons in the latter is higher than the same concentration in raw material. Dissociation of the second olefin adducts may also be performed to give first linear polyaromatic compounds and first olefin composition followed by their separation from each other.
EFFECT: enhanced process efficiency.
