FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microstrip antennae and particularly to a double-frequency microstrip antenna for use in global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). The structure of the double-frequency microstrip antenna includes: a conducting shield and an inner radiating plate and an outer radiating plate, lying opposite said shield. The inner plate is in form of a metal-coated disc with a set of protrusions on its periphery, and the outer plate is in form of a metal-coated ring with a corresponding set of protrusions on its inner side, wherein the corresponding protrusions of the inner plate lie in grooves formed by corresponding protrusions of the outer plate and vice versa. There are vertical conducting elements in the protrusions of the inner plate which galvanically connect the outer plate to said conducting shield. Between the shield and the outer plate on its outer periphery, there is a dielectric filling or capacitive elements.
EFFECT: wider operating frequency band, low level of the beam pattern in the backward semi-sphere and shorter length of the antenna.
