FIELD: broadband radio communication, telecommunication, and radar systems for building antennas of planar printed-circuit design.
SUBSTANCE: novelty in proposed antenna is that coaxial-microstrip power connector 8 incorporating cylindrical metal shroud 10 and central metal spike 11 insulated from the latter by means of dielectric bushing is installed on small nonradiating side of rectangular insulating substrate 1 incorporating front surface 2 and underside surface 3 that has small radiating side 4 and nonradiating side 5, as well as large nonradiating sides 6, 7. Exciter 12, linear directors 14, 15, 15, as well as power and auxiliary microstrip lines 17 and 18, respectively, are disposed on front surface 2 of substrate 1 and reflector 13, on its underside surface 3. As distinct from prior art, such design provides for double increase in relative operating-frequency band with respect to input voltage standing-wave ratio by 1.5. Relative dimensions of antenna components are given in invention specification.
EFFECT: reduced space requirement and enhanced width of relative operating-frequency band.
