FIELD: synchronization of telecommunication networks.

SUBSTANCE: proposed process intended for use in clock network synchronization building systems of hierarchy structure depending for its operation on master-slave synchronization involves organization of entire range of open sync signal transfer routes forming synchronization system and selection of route distinguished by best quality indices out of them. Novelty in proposed range of essential indices is that synchronization system is built as unified tree structure with definite private quality indices for each sync signal transfer route which makes it possible to reconfigure synchronization system dispensing with priority tables and synchronization source status messages thereby greatly simplifying structure of synchronization system affording transfer of sync signals of desired quality to all communication network sites without complicating its structure at the same time minimizing consumption of communication network capacity.

EFFECT: enhanced quality of sync signals, reduced requirement of network capacity resources and hardware for system operation.
