FIELD: communication technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication technology and can be used in fiber-optic communication networks (FOCN). A structural matrix of a fiber-optic communication network is formed and, based on it, a simulation model of a fiber-optic communication network, the time and probability of message delivery between corresponding nodes is simulated on it, and also its structural survivability is calculated, the number of independent multidimensional routes between corresponding nodes are calculated, from S options for laying an additional L line the option is chosen, which provides the number of independent multidimensional routes between corresponding nodes, with established restrictions on the length of the additional L line, an additional L line is laid in the fiber-optic communication network.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability and survivability of a fiber-optic communication network due to multiparametric reconfiguration when an additional L line is placed in its structure.
