DENTISTRY TIP (VARIANTS) Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medical technique.

SUBSTANCE: dentistry tip includes body having seat for mounting head and duct for supplying gas with first light guide. First light guide has outlet in seat made with possibility of full rotation of head. Turbine with member for fastening dentistry tool is mounted in head having hole for feeding gas onto turbine and second light guide. The last has inlet in part of head. In order to provide mechanical driving action, tip is provided with drive shaft and micromotor having inlet for supplying gas. On inner surface of seat for mounting head there is intermediate duct for supplying gas that connects duct for feeding gas with hole for feeding gas onto turbine at any position of rotating head. Outlet of first light guide and inlet of second light guide are arranged one opposite to another. At any position of rotating head, drive shaft is connected with head and inlet for feeding gas to micromotor is connected with duct for feeding gas in body. In such design of tip rotary head practically does not protrude outside tip. Design of light guide and head allows to rotate head mounted in seat of body without torsional or other actions upon light guide. Micromotor is specially designed for using in dentistry turbine-type tips with rotary head.

EFFECT: improved design of tip, enlarged possibilities for using it, simplified operation in mouth cavity of patient.
