FIELD: medicine, in particular, absorption layers.

SUBSTANCE: absorption article includes rear sheet comprising pair of transversely opposed longitudinal side edges. Each side edge has outer concave contour of end side edge arranged in predetermined regions of openings for legs in intermediate part of side edge. Each concave contour of side edge is of predetermined longitudinal extension along article length. Upper moisture permeable sheet is joined in such a manner that it is positioned on top and faced toward rear sheet, and absorption core is arranged between upper sheet and rear sheet. Individually formed composite member of insert-flap is connected to at least one of sheets along each region adjoining openings for legs. Insert-flap member provides insert section for legs and retention flap section and is configured in predetermined manner in order to resist liquid leakage. Absorption article of such structure is readily adjustable.

EFFECT: increased absorptive capacity, improved resistance to liquid leakage and convenient use.
