FIELD: acceleration engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed thermionic diode designed for ejecting charged particle beam into atmosphere or to medium being irradiated for irradiating object on two ends has cathode holder assembled of two parts enabling disposition of cathodes on opposite ends and case incorporating two opposing window-anodes disposed between cathodes to eject electron beams into atmosphere for object irradiation. Varying distance between cathode and anode in one of diode sides makes it possible to vary radiation algorithm for object sides.
EFFECT: ability of double-ended object irradiation.
