METHOD FOR EVALUATING TENSE-DEFORMED STATE OF SKIN Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, plastic surgery.

SUBSTANCE: one should fix an optic indicator as a transparent photoelastic layer at an object. Indicator should be illuminated with polarized white light by forming interferential picture. By interferential strips one should calculate deformation value. Moreover, the forming of interferential picture should be performed at mutually-perpendicular position of polarizer's plane and analyzer's plane. Axis of beam's polarization should be directed perpendicular to the plane of optic indicator designed out of synthetic caoutchouc elastomer. The value for mechanical cutaneous tensions should be evaluated by the color of interferential strips by pregrading the dependence of strip's color of interferential picture against deformations and tensions in patient's skin.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and quality of evaluation during plastic operations.
