FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of abrasive material based on zirconium electrocorundum for roughing power abrasive tools. Proposed method includes making of cylindrical roll body and application of projecting cutting elements onto its surface. Application of projecting cutting elements is provided by forcing particles of abrasive material into roll body surface to depth of 0.5-2.0 mm at rotation of body in process of breaking abrasive material between roll surfaces. Roll is made of soft steel.
EFFECT: reduced wear of roll.
