FIELD: friction welding.
SUBSTANCE: the invention presents a method of a friction welding with application of several heads for a simultaneous welding of the abutting surfaces of the open or closed profiled cradles. The method provides, that separate profiles of the cradles from their both sides near to the abutting surfaces are tightly gripped in the welding heads and the abutting surfaces are pressed to each other. The running ends of the profiles from both sides of the abutting surfaces are given vibrations with the help of the welding heads. Both welding heads are generating vibrations in directions of X, Z and Y, Z basically in antiphase. The welding heads, that correspond to the both running ends of each separate profile are generating vibrations mainly also in antiphase. The welding device usually contains four welding units mounted on a base with capability to move. A welding unit consists of two welding heads, the vibration plates of which are rigidly linked each with a gripping assembly. Each gripping assembly has the first gripping plate mounted with a capability of motion in respect to the second gripping plate, using which the running end of the profile is gripped. Two welding heads corresponding to a plane of the joint have their gripping assemblies mounted on a mounting plate with a capability of motion in respect to each other so, that they can move towards the abutting surface. The mounting plate for positioning of the welding heads according to inclination position of the abutting planes is established on the base with a capability of motion in parallel directions and \ or with a capability to move in angular regulated directions or with a capability of turning for orientation along an abutting plane. The invention allows to weld simultaneously several surfaces of cradles in a shorter time without making large bulges in the spots of welding.
EFFECT: the invention provides possibility to weld simultaneously several surfaces of cradles in a shorter time without making large bulges in the spots of welding.
