FIELD: tobacco industry; wrapping of cigarette packs.
SUBSTANCE: using proposed method and machine 1 for wrapping articles 2 in wrapping material sheets 3, articles 2 are moved successively at constant first velocity along first wrapping trajectory P1 to form tubular wrap 10 around each article 2 with two opposite open ends 11. Then articles are shifted successively at constant second velocity along second wrapping trajectory P2 to close and seal corresponding open ends 11. Articles 2 are shifted at first interval St1 along first trajectory P1 and at second interval St2smaller than first interval St1 along trajectory P2. Relationship between first and second intervals is equal to relationship between first and second velocities. Thanks to it each section of machine can operate at interval and/or at velocity most suitable for specific operation carried out by section and, consequently, reduce size of section and cost at specific output.
EFFECT: improved reliability, reduced cost of production.
