FIELD: nuclear power engineering; shielding tops of liquid-metal cooled nuclear reactors.
SUBSTANCE: reactor shielding top has large rotary plug with biological shielding that mounts small rotary plug with biological shielding, and refueling channel. Top that enables use of refueling mechanism during refueling process only is provided with channel-mounted plug built of two parts joined together for axial displacement; shut-off mechanism is installed in its upper part and biological shielding, in lower one. Radial horizontal slots are made in base of plug bottom part and hole, in its butt end; shut-off mechanism has screw and nut passed through end hole, slides disposed in radial slots of vessel and provided with hinges that function to join pushing levers with side surface of nut locked against rotation by means of ring.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of thermal and biological shielding throughout entire top surface facing reactor core surface, enlarged service life of refueling mechanism, enhanced reliability of reactor.
