FIELD: chemistry of natural compounds.
SUBSTANCE: the present innovation could be applied for manufacturing viscoelastics for ophthalmological purposes. Solution of sodium hyaluronate is obtained due to bacterial fermentation. Initial solution is prepared at excessive viscosity, and after filtration one should perform sterilization due to autoclaving to obtain the desired viscosity value. Autoclaving is carried out at 120 C for 8 min. The method enables to simplify sterilization technique for viscoelastic corneal endothelium.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
