METHOD FOR TREATING THE CASES OF CHRONIC BRONCHITIS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves applying transcutaneous treatment with low intensity infrared laser radiation of gallium arsenide nature by means of laser therapy device directed to lung zone on back chest surface in intercostal spaces. Patient complaints of non-productive cough and chest pains related to breathing and coughing and forced exhalation volume at the first second (FEV1) >1.5 l being the case, lung area is first exposed to 600 Hz frequency radiation and then to 1500 Hz frequency radiation. Patient complaints of productive cough and FEV1 >1.5 l being the case, lung area is exposed to 600 Hz frequency radiation. Exposure dose to each lung is equal to 0.1 mJ/cm² when treated with frequency of 600Hz and to 0.05 mJ/cm² when treated with frequency of 1500 H. Patient complaints of productive cough and FEV1 <1.5 l being the case, lung area is first exposed to 600 Hz frequency radiation and then to 80 Hz one. Exposure dose to each lung is to be equal to 0.01 mJ/cm² at each frequency. Radiation exposure time is calculated from formula t=DxS/Px τxf, where D is the exposure dose at each frequency, in J/cm²; P is the mean impulse power of radiation beam, in W; τ is the impulse duration, in s; f is the impulse succession frequency in Hz, t exposure time in s, S is the exposed area, in cm².

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of radiation dose control depending on organism reserve; enhanced effectiveness of treatment; accelerated treatment course.
