FIELD: water purification system and method using ionizer and ozonizer for purifying of contaminated water by decomposing and oxidizing of undecomposable contaminating substances.
SUBSTANCE: water purification system has at least one ionizer, ozone generator, and ozone mixer for mixing ozone with water. Ionizer has cylindrical chamber, at least one rod-type anode surrounded with coaxial cylindrical dielectric enclosure, at least one rod-type cathode surrounded with coaxial cylindrical enclosure, and at least one cylindrical cellular grid coaxially aligned with and surrounding cathode. Both ends of cylindrical chamber are closed with sealing fastening device. Method involves using onizer; providing high-voltage excitation of ionizer; directing water through ionizer; filtering sediment; introducing ozone into water and mixing thereof; filtering sediment.
EFFECT: increased ionizing efficiency, effective decomposition or oxidation of undecomposable substances without adding of chemical preparations, provision for ionizer capable of generation and acceleration of ejected electrons by high-frequency voltage.
