FIELD: explosive substances.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyrotechnic composites comprising a metal as a fuel and metal oxide as an oxidizing agent. The composite can be used in pyrotechnic devices of different designation: percussion caps, fuses and others. Invention proposes pyrotechnic composite comprising industrial powders of aluminum and molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) that are subjected for preliminary mechanical activation in energy-stressed ball mill in the presence of 30-50 wt.-% of neutral liquid. This composite elicits high rates of combustion and ignitability and shows also high energetic indices, good stability and simple preparing method from industrial powders of aluminum and molybdenum trioxide. Combustion products of composite have no harmful substances.
EFFECT: valuable properties of composite.
