FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a method for obtaining a catalyst for methanol oxidation to formaldehyde and may be used in the production of formaldehyde and carbamide-formaldehyde resins. This method consists in interaction between iron-containing component and molybdenum trioxide with subsequent molding of granules, drying and ignition while component interaction being carried out with addition of 0.6÷2.5 wt.% of calcium oxide.
EFFECT: increased catalyst resistance to reaction medium and lowered molybdenum oxide losses.
