FIELD: manufacture of building materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for applying decorative coatings as internal finishing of industrial and civil buildings and structures based on polymeric film-forming compositions and fibrous fillers. Composition according to invention contains 3 to 30% of leather cuttings and film-forming binder. Size of the leather, preferably chrome cuttings dies not advantageously exceed 5 mm. Cuttings may be reduced to size no greater than 1 mm or to individual fibers. Cuttings may be preliminarily colored or composition may include a pigment. Above-mentioned binder can be aqueous solution and/or aqueous dispersion of a natural or synthetic polymer.
EFFECT: improved moisture resistance, heat- and sound-insulation properties, and acquired specific deerskin-like structure.
