APPARATUS FOR CUTTING OF MATERIAL SHEET WEBS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for cutting of fabrics and like materials commonly exhibiting increased cutting resistance.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has cutting table with bristly covering and vacuumizer, cutting knife, knife moving unit and related drive. Cutting knife is made in the form of two saw-shaped blades with cutting teeth. Said blades are aligned with their side surfaces so that each pair of teeth of different blades defines double-action scissors. Blades are arranged in longitudinal slot of guiding plate, whose one end is made in the form of point. Guiding plate carries locking plate, connecting pipe for supplying of cutting mixture, threaded rods, and leaf spring fixed with its one end and disposed along slot. Other end of leaf spring is equipped with holes by means of which it is freely put onto threaded rods. Compression springs are arranged on threaded rods between leaf spring and nuts screwed onto rods. One of saw-shaped blades is immovably mounted in guiding plate slot and is fitted on its side surface facing other blade with longitudinal channel joined to connecting pipe, said channel not reaching blade ends, and other saw-shaped blade is kinematically connected with reciprocal mechanism. Blade teeth protrude beyond edges of guiding plate and leaf spring. Movable blade of apparatus has reduced stroke and motion frequency to prevent cutting knife from quick wear. Apparatus of such construction provides for reduced force required for holding of fabric webs.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation, increased wear-resistance of knife and prolonged service life of bristly covering of cutting table.
