SUBSTANCE: proposed method is meant for evaluating signal-to-noise ratio of plurality of carriers modulated by digital information; such digital information includes data baud and test baud; method involves two steps for transmitting plurality of carriers, evaluating first signal-to-noise ratio for data baud, evaluating second signal-to-noise ratio for test baud, comparison of at least first signal-to-noise ratio and second signal-to-noise ratio with predetermined choice criteria, and selecting one of first and mentioned second signal-to-noise ratio basing on mentioned comparison step.

EFFECT: enhanced precision of signal-to-noise ratio evaluation.
