FIELD: agricultural engineering.
SUBSTANCE: potato harvesting machine has digging share and separating device made in the form of flexible spiral spring having length exceeding width of digging share. Separator is positioned transverse to machine advancement direction in parallel with rear cut of digging share, in horizontal plane, at distance smaller than tuber diameter, and is composed of two springs. Springs are connected with their central parts and have oppositely directed coils. Separator is connected with its one end to chain reducer driven through transverse shaft of machine from tractor power shaft and with its other end to bearing mounted on bracket-reducer joined to machine frame. Eccentrics mounted on transverse shaft are connected through share tie-rods with outer rear points of digging share. Share is fixed in bearings providing for rotation of share in vertical plane and vibration thereof. Covering-undercutting roller fixed forward of share has central cylindrical part, side conical parts and disk-type spherical knives attached to ends of cylindrical part and having diameter exceeding diameter of wide part of roller conical member. Vertical sides are mounted laterally of share at its both sides in planes of disk-type knives. Shear plates are attached to sides at an angle to machine advancement direction and adapted for moving of soil part not handled by roller into furrows.
EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced damage to potato tubers, reduced power consumption and metal usage, and decreased costs per unit of operation.
