FIELD: plastic working of metals, namely drawing metals, possibly in hard ware industry branch for making calibrated hexahedral sections of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and alloys.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of multistage deformation of blank in row of roll grooved passes for forming at separate deformation stages separate faces of section alternatively in predetermined directions; at first deformation stage forming only three even or three odd faces for imparting to them pre-final dimensions; at second deformation stage forming remaining three faces with pre-final dimensions; at third stage forming simultaneously all six faces with final dimensions of section; during deformation of blank with round or hexahedral profile forming faces with normalized elongation factors at all deformation stages depending upon blank profile.
EFFECT: uniform deformation at stages of forming faces, uniform mechanical properties along cross section of product, elimination of surface flaws such as barbs, laps of ready product.
