FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises forming the prefinished-size billet and finished section of finished sizes. Creation of rolling friction between material surfaces and tool and uniform distribution of strain between deformation steps are ensured by forming the section by two-step deformation in twin set of drawing dies in one pass with total relative reduction δΣ=21…37%. First step of deformation of biller 12 is performed in drawing die 2 by forming two concave and one convex surface on round biller 12. Second step of deformation is effected with holdback tension in drawing die 6 with four-roll pass by forming finished sizes of finished section. Note here that in drawing relationship between relative deformations of the first and second steps proceeding from the condition δ1/δ2=0.8…1.1.
EFFECT: higher quality of contact wire with cross-section of 65-150 mm2 at lower production costs.
