FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for production of hexagonal sections from stainless steels. Method includes deformation of round billet in two serially arranged three-roll passes formed by smooth rolls, and finishing drawing in monolithic die.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining high-accuracy profiles by eliminating the appearance of tensile stress and creating shear deformation is ensured by the fact that the edges of the unfilled triangle in the first pass during rolling, as well as faces of hexagon after its output from rolls of second pass are subjected to high-frequency alternating deformation by cylindrical strikers.
