FIELD: railway transport; parking brakes.
SUBSTANCE: proposed automatic parking brake containing fixing, wedging, stopping, supporting, driving and closing and releasing units preserves working resilient deformation force of braked mechanical part of base brake system at abnormal braking in situation when unauthorized release of said system is possible. Preservation of said working force is provided by wedging fixing unit conjugated with mechanical part of said system owing to stopping of wedging unit coupled with fixing unit owing to interaction of control forces of driving, closing and releasing units and their interaction with wedging or stopping units. Taking up of said working force is provided by fixing, wedging and supporting units or said units and stopping unit. Number of units taking up said working force includes also release unit, driving unit acts onto closing unit, and action of control force of closing unit onto wedging unit is provided by ceasing action of control force of driving unit.
EFFECT: desensitizing of automatic parking brake to action of impact and vibration loads.
