FIELD: thermochemical processes and related equipment, in particular, heating furnaces, such as horizontal rotating drum-type furnaces.
SUBSTANCE: thermal module has horizontal activation furnace positioned for rotation and equipped with liner having through channels communicated with its cavity, and collector adapted for discharge of activation gases and arranged at one end of activation furnace. Collector is connected with activation furnace through sealing device. Carbonizate charging device, overheated gas feeding device, activation gas afterburning device and overheated vapor preparing device are connected with collector. Ready product discharge device is arranged at other hermetically sealed end of activation furnace. Carbonizate with fractions of from 4 to 20 mm may be activated in activation furnace. Thermal module provides for production of high-quality sorbents, carbon filaments for lamps (pH > 8) as well as of activated charcoal used in medicine.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and wider range of use.
