FIELD: water and air purification technology.
SUBSTANCE: topicality of the problem of provision of the population of the Chechen Republic with quality drinking water is related to change of natural waters under action of discharges of domestic, industrial and storm waste water of various degree of contamination. Industrial waste accounts for nearly 17 % of the total volume of waste water, the rest – for housing and communal complex. Purification of surface waters by conventional methods is insufficient. Adsorbent consists of fine minerals (not over 10 mcm) of bentonite and brucite, its preparation is carried out in an aqueous medium using ultrasound. Obtained granules undergo thermal treatment in range of 550–600 °C, high mechanical strength, high specific surface and adsorption capacity of substances of different nature.
EFFECT: method of purifying waters of surface sources from pollutants of various nature using a complex mineral adsorbent.
