FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes extraction of face with rotors, cutting of rock portions between rotors, displacement of shield and reinforcement of tunnel. Extraction of face by rotors is performed concurrently with cutting of portions of rocks between rotors by teeth located along contour of head portion between rotors, with forming of curvilinear cross-section profile without remaining rock pieces between rotors. Tunnel is reinforced by monolith-pressed concrete. Shield has body with head portion made as unitary supporting construction for mounting of rotors, which is connected to the body with possible rotation relatively to the body. On it three rotors are mounted. Middle rotor has larger diameter, than side rotors. Its axis is displaced upwards for a value providing for tunnel of curvilinear cross-section with pallet portion of lesser curvature than curvature of ceiling portion. Cutting tools in form of teeth are fixed along contour of unitary supporting construction in spaces between rotors.
EFFECT: simplified method for construction of tunnel and construction of shield during forming of tunnel having non-circular cross-section.
