FIELD: study of physico-mechanical properties of complex threads; chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes tension of complex thread to break of specimen and determination of points of break of elementary filaments in complex thread at additional monitoring of amplitudes of acoustic pulses arising at moment of break of each elementary filament recorded at points of application of loads on complex thread at points X1 and X2, as well as length of stretched specimen; coordinates of points of break of filaments in thread are determined by the following formula: L1=l.U2(U1+U2), where L is length of specimen being stretched which is equal to distance between points of application of load on complex thread X1 and X2; L1 is distance between point of break of elementary fiber and point X1 of recording of signals; U1 and U2 are amplitudes of acoustic pulses at points of recording X1 and X2, respectively.
EFFECT: increased productivity; reduced labor consumption; enhanced accuracy.
