METHOD FOR REPAIRING VERTICAL POSITION IN PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM SPINAL CORD CONDUCTIVITY DISORDERS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2236209 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves training standing patient posture with support or external fixation, applying medical training exercises, stimulating lower extremity muscles. Orthostatic tonic vibration reflex activation is carried out in addition by applying lower extremity vibrostimulation in soles area or in proper ligaments of patient kneecaps by fixing talocrural joints at right angle in patients assuming vertical position with support or fixed on orthopedic table at an angle of 60-80° to horizontal plane. Vibrostimulation is applied to patients suffering from spastic type motor disorders for 50-70 s with amplitude of 1 mm and frequency of 35-50 Hz. Vibrostimulation is applied to patients suffering from flaccid type motor disorders for 80-90 s with amplitude of 5 mm and frequency of 20 Hz. The patient retains standing position himself after vibrostimulation during the period of orthostatic tonic vibration reflex reduction. The treatment course is administered daily during 10 days. The treatment course is repeated when needed.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
